Easter 2005

During our Easter break we were fortunate with a number of bright days down at the bay. The majority of construction work along the Chine that was in full swing a year ago has been completed. Unfortunately the concrete huts are now being vandalised and negotiations between Gary and the Council appear to have failed (for this season at least) It looks like a number of us are going to be homeless this summer! :-( For the latest information and thoughts on the huts please visit this thread.

Summer 2004: A Mixed Season

The weather might have been unpredictable but that did not stop the regulars and holiday makers down on Colwell Bay enjoying the sea during the frequent rain showers. The construction work was still taking place along the chine causing a bottle neck during the sunny days but the beach was as busy as ever, with everyone making the most of the sunny days and the sandy beaches....

The dull and windy days were brought to life with the arrival of the paragliders and kite-surfers out in force displaying their truly spectacular skills off the coast of colwell.

Yes they are still standing!! Get out the duster remove the spider webs Lorrie will be along with his dustpan and broom for yet another year!

Bookings have been taken for the summer and they have been re-let for the season all ready! Rumour has it that this is there last season, but we have heard this the year before and before and before ....

The normal sleepy Colwell Chine was awash with building and construction work during Easter 2004. These photos show the numerous projects taking shape down the chine this year!
